EU Commission secret deal undermines EU privacy laws

A leaked copy of the latest draft of a proposed “Agreement between the United States of America and the European Union on the use transfer of Passenger Name Record [PNR] data to the United States Department of Homeland Security” has been published by the civil liberties watchdog and investigative reporting group Statewatch.

The leaked draft “agreement” fails to satisfy the criteria set by the European Parliament for its ratification of such an agreement, including that any PNR agreement should:

  1. Take the form of a duly ratified international treaty binding on all parties. (The draft “agreement” is not a treaty, and would not be binding, as discussed in more detail below.)

LPUK – when the nutters take over…

It has long been said that LPUK attracts the nutters, something that I have tried to dismiss over the years but now… well with all the turmoil, the coup and the agitator in chief Malcolm Saunders calling the shots I have to think again.

Investigate, Investigate, Investigate says Malcolm Saunders. He is not happy that due process has taken place, he is not happy with those in authority over such matters such as the Electoral Commission and the LPUK NCC have followed their processes and found no wrongdoing or case to answer.

LPUK – trying to make sense of the mess

I have been away on holiday, and during that time there has been an implosion at the LPUK.

It would seem that for some time there are many factions at work in both trying to undermine the Libertarian Party and at a very personal level its elected leader Andrew Withers.

I have spent the last few days since returning to the UK wading through a mountain of emails making claims and counter claims trying desperately to make sense of what should have been a simple matter, the allegations that were raised by Susanne Nundy against Andrew Withers and his handling of the LPUK accounts.

The Maltese conundrum

It has been nearly 25 years since I last visited the Islands of Malta, so it was nice to spend a relaxing holiday there again, although the changes that have taken place in that time are all too apparent, some good, some not so good.

EU Rocking Horse shit

When you get to the ripe old age of 65 expecting to be able to settle down to your hobbies and pass-times with that pension you have been contributing to all your working life only to be told that you will have to continue working until you are 69 as the government can’t afford the pensions that it is already committed to….. remember this…

Our EU masters in their wisdom are going to use your tax money to pay for the pensions of… the Palestinian Authority staff.

Greece is considering leaving the eurozone

Report dated 6th May.

Greece is considering leaving the eurozone, according to SPEIGEL ONLINE International, part of Germany’s Der Spiegel.

“Athens is considering withdrawing from the euro zone. The common currency area’s finance ministers and representatives of the European Commission are holding a secret crisis meeting in Luxembourg on Friday night,” the report stated. (source)

I am crossing my fingers hoping this report is true.

And still people will not believe…

… that we are a part of the new Soviet Empire – the EU.

Astonishingly, they even have to take a photograph of the flag flying and email it to the European Commission to ensure the regulations are being observed.

Schools are also being sent instructions from the European Parliament on how to celebrate Europe Day. Recommendations include assemblies with an EU theme for all pupils and even setting up a European Cafe that only accepts euros. (source)

Vote Lib/Lab/Con at the local elections on Thursday and you are guaranteed a regulated future in this country of the kind that we fought to tear down in East Germany and Russia.

How many papers to make a policy?

We have all heard of Green papers and White papers, but what the hell are non-papers and position papers?

Ask the Dutch, because they have just submitted some to the EU on their proposed policy of kicking out anyone (especially EU citizens) who make “disproportionate claims” on the social benefit system in the Netherlands, or who have committed “very serious or repeated offences”.

The Hague submitted a ‘non-paper’ to its EU partners regarding proposed changes to Dutch immigration legislation that are officially aimed at “achieving a stronger, safer and more prosperous Europe”.

Paths, Gardens, being led down…

There are a few items today that show just how the public is being led down the garden path, a path that many do not wish to be led down, and if more knew of the deceit, practically no-one would want to visit the garden at all….

Osama Bin Laden is dead… hmm, lets see…, living in a mansion next door to an army camp… shot in head by raiding team, and very quickly buried at sea because Saudi officials didn’t want his body returned… no witnesses, no autopsy, no inquiry, body disposed of.. how convenient.
