This piece of alcohol abuse news from Guido should set the minimum pricing debate alight.
“I was in strangers bar last night and saw the fight first hand.
I don’t know who threw the first punch, or why it happened, but I first noticed something had happened when Conservative MP Alec Shelbrooke was trying to restrain Eric Joyce shouting “YOU DO NOT DO THAT TO AN MP IN THIS HOUSE!”. Others then tried to drag Eric away from everyone else.
Eric continued to struggle and broke away from those who were holding him back. A couple of people got punched, tables got knocked over, drinks spilt, and glasses broken. A Conservative female MP then put herself in between Eric and the people he was after shouting “PUNCH ME BEFORE YOU PUNCH MY STAFF!” Yet Eric continued to struggle.
A couple of people managed to hold him down on the ground until the police arrived, who cuffed him and took him away. The security informed us while they were taking statements and names that it took them so long to get there as they went to the Sports and Social bar first.”
So just what will our political leaders do about this bunch of rowdy, out of control binge drinkers, who brawl in the bar of this Public House causing mayhem and damage in a scene reminiscent of a Brits abroad documentary.
If we listen to Cameron and his Alcohol Concern muppets as they apply their righteousness upon us, he should instantly impose minimum pricing, consider taking the bar license away, or shutting the bar down completely, as well as placing the brawlers on the trouble makers photo watch list to be displayed in local pubs, banning them from using any other pubs in a 10 mile radius, taking their passports away and imposing a travel ban.
Why, because in their world when looking at us, there are never misunderstandings that have spilled over, or a small local problem dealt with by the landlord. No, this kind of behavior is regularly described as binge drinking, alcohol abuse and worse, and must be dealt with in the most basic of summary ways specifically designed to belittle the masses, and they will produce the legislation to reinforce their righteous views.
What’s that you say? the rules don’t apply to the elite… actually, they seem to think fuck all applies to them, the rule of law has completely broken down.
We are no longer governed, we are ruled, by an elite who think they are above the law. That is the real description of Broken Britain
Just another reason why this rough house where the gang known as the rotten parliament hang out must be dissolved.

The word Eurosceptic has been hijacked by those who think reform from the inside is possible. Its not.

Well said Sir!

LOL
Ian, if only we could make the rules that apply to us plebs, apply to the parasites in the Houses of Parliament.
I think the missing ingredient is fear. And I’m sure my feeling is not original, but needs to be said over and over again until it is internalised by those who can instil a fear into our servants. Until they fear us, they will continue to behave like the uncouth barbarians that they are.
Why is every government’s answer to any problem, is to tax it?
Anyway, this isn’t a Cameron idea, it is a UN directive (I’ll try and dig it out, but not tonight), someone posted a link on the EUreferendum forum a week or so ago.
