ANTI-EU
Let me make this as clear as possible.
The word Eurosceptic has been hijacked by those who think reform from the inside is possible. Its not.
For that reason I'm out.

THE ALBION ALLIANCE presents..
INFORMATION.
Information is power, we all know that, but until now in the UK the politicians and the media have had a virtual monopoly on information coming out of the EU, and on the way in which it is shaped and presented.
Well that is about to change. The Albion Alliance have set up a site to bring you information and news direct from Brussels, as soon as possible after it is published, and wherever possible, in its raw state.
The Albion Alliance says the fight must go on.
The Albion Alliance says the fight must go on.
In April we wrote to you with the following:
Well Gordon Brown has finally gone to see the Queen, Parliament has been prorogued and the MP’s are no more. Many have stood down and will disappear like the mist, others will be standing again along with a host of new candidates all looking for your vote in this all important General Election to be held alongside the local authority elections on the 6th May 2010.
EU Commission plans EU-wide information sharing of UK taxpayers’ details
This little gem was picked up on Bill Cash’s European Journal website today.
On 8 June, the Council reached a political agreement on a draft regulation on administrative cooperation and combating fraud in the field of value added tax.
The Council will formally adopted the regulation, without discussion, at a forthcoming meeting.
Please read here what such proposal entails. Download Surveillance

Beware Coalitions bearing gifts..
Now that the dust is beginning to settle in and around Downing St, an army of bloggers and journalists begin the work of picking through the details of the Coalition Agreement, and I have to say that by the hour I am beginning to find it not as settling as my first scan of the document gave me hope to believe. There is something not quite right with this LibCon love in.

Albion Alliance – next steps
Its been a long and interesting weekend. I travelled north to meet my colleagues in the Albion Alliance, spending 2 days thrashing out some fairly detailed ideas and plans on how we move the campaign forward in the wake of a totally indecisive election.
Although I am not going to give precise detail yet of what we have decided, the key pointers will be around the known events, and the re-run of the general election that cannot be so far away that it is already a distant blip on the horizon, but definitely in view.
Our next steps will include:

Podcast: 20 minutes with Ian Parker-Joseph
Did a 20minute podcast with the worldly wise legal blogger Charonqc on Tuesday. It is always a pleasure chatting with one of the wittiest people on the internet.
I could have called him a dry wit, but I think the Spanish Rioja producers may have sued for misrepresentation.
He has billed this podcast:
Today I am talking to Ian Parker-Joseph former leader of the Libertarian Party UK and now a keen supporter of the Albion Alliance. We explore libertarian ideals, the Albion Alliance and look back over the campaign and consider what lies ahead
Place your vote with your conscience
It is now less than 24 hours before the voting stations open in the 2010 UK General Election.
After 3 weeks of end to end coverage, there has been some positive campaigning countered by even more negative campaigning, there have been lies and counter lies, information met with disinformation and rightly the public are confused as to which is the best way to place their vote.
I can only say that you alone must make that decision, but I would suggest you now set aside the propaganda from all sides, and think. You don’t have to vote with the herd simply because you think everyone else is doing so, be yourself and vote with your conscience.

Lisbon Treaty must be re-ratified – EU
In the autumn, Britain will have to re-ratify the Lisbon Treaty. Over in Brussels things are afoot and the first major Foreign Policy act of a new UK Prime Minister will be to go to Brussels to rubber stamp a treaty amendment.
On Election Day the European Parliament will vote to confirm an IGC (Intergovernmental Conference) which will take place on June the 17th and 18th in Brussels.
18 extra MEPs. Parliament will decide whether to allow treaty changes increasing the size of the European Parliament to take place without a full Convention (debate Wednesday, vote Thursday).

Election: Look a little closer at the small print
While walking down the street one day a “Member of Parliament” is tragically hit by a truck and dies.
His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance.
‘Welcome to heaven,’ says St. Peter.. ‘Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem. We seldom see a high official around these parts, you see, so we’re not sure what to do with you.’
‘No problem, just let me in,’ says the man.
‘Well, I’d like to, but I have orders from higher up. What we’ll do is have you spend one day in hell and one in heaven. Then you can choose where to spend eternity.’
