So now its out in the open – EU PLOT TO SCRAP BRITAIN

Its what this blog and many others like it have been banging on about for years.

An EU Super State – The EUSSR.

This from the Express.

SENIOR Eurocrats are secretly plotting to create a super-powerful EU president to realise their dream of abolishing Britain, we can reveal.

A covert group of EU foreign ministers has drawn up plans for merging the jobs currently done by Herman Van Rompuy, president of the European Council, and Jose Manuel Barroso, president of the European Commission.

EU Parliament Official In Charge Of ACTA Quits, slams ‘Masquerade’

This is interesting. Kader Arif, the "rapporteur" for ACTA, has quit that role in disgust over the process behind getting the EU to sign onto ACTA. A rapporteur is a person "appointed by a deliberative body to investigate an issue." However, it appears his investigation of ACTA didn’t make him very pleased:

I want to denounce in the strongest possible manner the entire process that led to the signature of this agreement: no inclusion of civil society organisations, a lack of transparency from the start of the negotiations, repeated postponing of the signature of the text without an explanation being ever given, exclusion of the EU Parliament’s demands that were expressed on several occasions in our assembly.

As rapporteur of this text, I have faced never-before-seen manoeuvres from the right wing of this Parliament to impose a rushed calendar before public opinion could be alerted, thus depriving the Parliament of its right to expression and of the tools at its disposal to convey citizens’ legitimate demands.”

Everyone knows the ACTA agreement is problematic, whether it is its impact on civil liberties, the way it makes Internet access providers liable, its consequences on generic drugs manufacturing, or how little protection it gives to our geographical indications.

This agreement might have major consequences on citizens’ lives, and still, everything is being done to prevent the European Parliament from having its say in this matter. That is why today, as I release this report for which I was in charge, I want to send a strong signal and alert the public opinion about this unacceptable situation. I will not take part in this masquerade.

Pretty rare to find such direct honesty in political circles. That’s quite a direct and clear condemnation of the entire process. In terms of process, it will be interesting to see if this has an impact. While the EU did sign on to ACTA on Jan 26, it still needs to be ratified by the European Parliament. Having Arif quit makes a pretty big statement, and hopefully makes it easier for Parliament Members to speak out loudly against ACTA… Still, this is an uphill battle. The supporters of ACTA have been working to get ACTA approved for years. To them, this is basically a done deal.

Here comes the EU version of soviet ‘farmers collectives’

EUROPEAN farmers are being urged to look increasingly at the benefits of operating within a cooperative as a means of boosting their market power.

Speaking at a press conference held with Cooperatives Europe and other European member organisations, Copa-Cogeca secretary general Pekka Pesonen said: “Agri-Cooperatives are a driving force to ensuring a competitive, innovative EU agri-food sector.

He said he was pleased the European Commission had recognised the importance of agricultural cooperatives and has come forward with plans to reinforce their role  in its Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) reform proposals.

The Commission intends to work on each sector and see how producer organisations, such as cooperatives, can be strengthened, focusing in particular on the fruit and vegetables, wine, olive oil and sheep sectors.

Of course it will help everyone in the EUSSR, ask any ex-Soviet farmer..

EU Never Never Land

It seems that the level of bullshit coming out of the EU is the only economic trend that is on the up. Since the Great Tea Trolley disaster Banking crisis of 2008 we have heard that promises of promises and plans of plans would be sufficient to bail out the Banks, it didn’t, and now the repeat performance is around Sovereign debt, it doesn’t work either.

The markets are hardly likely to be fooled by the latest round of talks on the EFSF, with all the major pundits claiming that it is already DOA.

Conservatives usher in the next part of Communist State

There are a significant number of Britons today who have worked hard, scrimped and saved in order to get onto the mortgage ladder. There are even more who having worked hard all their lives now look forward to retirement in the homes that they sacrificed much to be able to afford, furnish and care for lovingly.

Hard on the heels of the EU and Government created economic crisis, using mickey mouse politics and telephone number sized redistribution of taxpayers wealth to stave off the inevitable collapse of independent banking, specifically designed to bankrupt national economies in favour of a single EU State, the next targets are being identified for the softening up process as the Conservatives lead us into the Communist state that is the EUSSR.

Van Rompuy – interest in Yoda

The Centre d’Informatique pour la Région Bruxelles-Capitale (CIRB, informatics centre for the Brussels-Capital Region) helps the public authorities of the Brussels-Capital Region to computerise their services. The CIRB also provides authorities with advice on ICT investments.

The local authorities (communes, CPAS) and the administrations of the Brussels-Capital Region (Government, Parliament, Ministry) can call on the CIRB on any matter relating to information and communication technology (ICT) and telecommunication. The CIRB develops and implements customised ICT systems at the public administrations, thus helping to:

  • modernise the management of these administrations
  • ensure better service to citizens

Participation in the euro is irrevocable say EU

No country can leave the Eurozone, or be forced to do so, the European Commission (EC) said on Thursday (September 8th), following a Dutch call for heavily indebted member states, such as Greece, to be kicked out of the area if they cannot abide by its fiscal rules.

“Neither exit nor expulsion from the euro area is possible according to the Lisbon Treaty under which participation in the euro is irrevocable,” Amadeu Altafaj, spokesman for EU Economy Commissioner Olli Rehn, told reporters in Brussels.

Jerzy Buzek in car crash in Warsaw

Red traffic lights are there for a reason. It seems in every way that European Union ‘leaders’ really are so full of self importance that they consider themselves above the law as their Soviet role models did?

I now await the introduction of KGB lanes for members of the EUSSR politburo in cities across the EU following this report from Poland.

A government limousine, in which the President of European Parliament Jerzy Buzek was riding, took part in an accident in Warsaw today. A Citroen drove into the limousine, which was crossing an intersection on red lights. Nobody was injured in the crash.

EU Commission secret deal undermines EU privacy laws

A leaked copy of the latest draft of a proposed “Agreement between the United States of America and the European Union on the use transfer of Passenger Name Record [PNR] data to the United States Department of Homeland Security” has been published by the civil liberties watchdog and investigative reporting group Statewatch.

The leaked draft “agreement” fails to satisfy the criteria set by the European Parliament for its ratification of such an agreement, including that any PNR agreement should:

  1. Take the form of a duly ratified international treaty binding on all parties. (The draft “agreement” is not a treaty, and would not be binding, as discussed in more detail below.)

The EUSSR Commission at work

European Commission: Proposal for a Directive on the use of Passenger Name Record data for the prevention, detection, investigation and prosecution of terrorist offences and serious crime (pdf), Impact Assessment (SEC 132, pdf) and Staff Working Paper (SEC 133, pdf).

All passengers flying in and out of the EU will have to provide their “Passenger Name Record” (PNR) data, eg: home address, mobile phone number, credit card information and email address – which will be checked against national watch-lists for suspected links with terrorism or serious crime (although the above documents sometimes refer to crime in general).
