Pots and Kettles – the EU doesn’t do irony

The European Union has said it is "concerned" and alarmed" about limited political competition, media bias and the treatment of the opposition following Sunday’s parliamentary elections in Russia. (source)

As much as I can see the the power corruption and state violence in Russia, it is after all a Russian affair, something the EU should keep out of unless it can up its own game.

European Parliament president Jerzy Buzek said:

"We need to move up one gear in developing our EU-Russia bilateral relations. We want our long-term cooperation to be based on democracy, the rule of law and freedom of expression."

I suggest he start that process first and go have a word in the ears of Van Rompuy and Barosso, or is democracy and freely elected government only to be a criteria for non EU countries.

But for Catherine Ashton to weigh into the fray, a woman never elected to anything is just plain hypocrisy. When are you up for re-election Ashton? I seem to recall it was not all that long ago that Belgian police were cracking protesters skulls outside the EU Parliament.

These self important ‘leaders’ in Europe make me sick. Irony4u.

Van Rompuy – interest in Yoda

The Centre d’Informatique pour la Région Bruxelles-Capitale (CIRB, informatics centre for the Brussels-Capital Region) helps the public authorities of the Brussels-Capital Region to computerise their services. The CIRB also provides authorities with advice on ICT investments.

The local authorities (communes, CPAS) and the administrations of the Brussels-Capital Region (Government, Parliament, Ministry) can call on the CIRB on any matter relating to information and communication technology (ICT) and telecommunication. The CIRB develops and implements customised ICT systems at the public administrations, thus helping to:

  • modernise the management of these administrations
  • ensure better service to citizens

When 500m people say NO, the EU had better listen

Earlier this week we heard the views of the market trader Alessio Rastani. The Euro is going down.

Today we hear from Hungarian economist and Global Head of Global Securities Services at UniCredit Group in Milan, Szalay-Berzeviczy:

  • “the euro is “practically dead” and Europe faces a financial earthquake from a Greek default”…
  • “The euro is beyond rescue”…
  • “The only remaining question is how many days the hopeless rearguard action of European governments and the European Central Bank can keep up Greece’s spirits.”
  • “A Greek default will trigger an immediate “magnitude 10” earthquake across Europe.”

The EU is getting paranoid.

Gaddafi, Van Rompuy and Barosso

What is it about ‘leaders’ who cannot understand that their time is up.

As I watch Sky News taking in the last and final hours of Gaddafi and his regime, I cannot stop myself thinking that this will probably be the way that the 500m souls in the EU will have to remove Van Rompuy, Barosso and the evil regime of the EU.

When regimes, when ‘leaders’, are neither wanted or supported by the majority of the people, then it is time to go. It is only the most stupid of ‘leaders’ that think they can stop the tide and hold on to power.

Don’t Panic Mr Mainwaring…

Unfortunately the unelected Mafia bosses of the EUssr are not built of the same stuff that our old Home Guard were.

In a fit of panic An emergency meeting has been called by Unelected European Council El Presidente Herman Van Rompuy over plans for yet another rescue package for Greece amid fears that the debt crisis will now spread to Italy.

The meeting comes in the wake of the sharp sell-off in Italian assets on Friday.

The time of the homogenous nation-state is over – Van Rompuy

Let me make a statement before we go any further.

I was Born English, I will Die English. I will never be an EU ‘citizen’ – I do not consent.

The unelected Van Rompuy, the quiet assassin of nations, has just declared war on the peoples of these Islands and the rest of Europe who will not quietly submit. I WILL fight if necessary to defend my homeland.

Today in Berlin, the unelected el Presidente of the tin pot European Union made his latest claim on a Federal Europe when he claimed:

Is Van Rompuy attempting a 2nd coup d’etat

A second one, didn’t know he had achieved a first one I hear you say.

This from the Telegraph 20th Nov 2009:

Last year, six months before becoming prime minister, he abused his position as speaker of the Belgian parliament to cancel a politically inconvenient debate. To make doubly sure that MPs would be silenced, he had the locks on the plenary chamber’s doors changed so deputies could not get into their own parliament. The tactic was described by opposition MPs as a “coup d’etat”.

Clues and Hints about the EU

Once again courtesy of “The Albion Alliance Presents” ‘rolling EU news’ comes this (click on go to source) with the punchline We have strategic partners, now we need a strategy.

And that statement, for which this country is paying £billions, sums up the EU in its entirety. They’ve paid everyone off, they don’t have a fucking clue, they just want the power.

From the man who is paid more than the President of the US:

I convened Thursday’s European Council to discuss our external relations and our strategic partnerships, which we have with the United States, Russia, our Asian partners and others, based on reciprocity. Until now, we had strategic partners, now we also need a strategy !
